The game of Bingo
Bingo, a game for two or more players is a game with roots that go half a century behind.
Every player can purchase card(s) marked with a grid of unique combination of numbers which are to be completed.
On
75 ball bingo which is the American version of the game, a predetermined pattern is announced before the beginning of the game and the player needs to complete the pattern in order to be the winner.
On 90 ball bingo which is the British version of the game the numbers on the cards have to be covered in order to be the winner.
There are variations of the game which exist in different countries, variations which have been developed over the years in order to make the game more unique and more fun.
In Canada smaller prizes have been developed for managing to complete one line and two lines.
When the game begins a non-player, named the “caller” is assigned the task of calling out the numbers taken out from the pot of numbers. Any number drawn out is announced and is put aside. After a small period of time a new number is taken out and announced.
The whole skill needed when playing Bingo is to be able to mark the numbers called on time as very little bingo players purchase only one card for every drawing. When you are in possession of many cards you have to manage and mark all possessed cards that fit the called number. Accordingly to what game you are playing you have to again be alert to call out bingo if you’ve completed the pattern, or the whole card.
